It’s like I have been in a deep sleep for almost 18 months or a hibernation of some sort only to wake up to the same deja vu. For once I thought I must have missed something but when I saw the unpleasant look on peoples faces or the same mask wearing situation, I realized I was better off asleep than awake. Why? Because we are in for another long haul it seems.I wish I could bring my words to align with my thoughts, my feelings with my desires, and my intentions with my actions. It’s hard to get things moving in the right direction most of the time, that is because we are not wired in that nature. We need to Recognize, Recharge, Recover, Reconcile and Refuel. “Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.” Psalm 51 10-12.

Recognize: Acknowledge the existence, validity, or legality of someone or Something…God.

Reconcile: To find a way in which two situations or beliefs that are opposed to each other can agree and exist together…like what is happening in the world today.

Recover: To return to a normal state of health, mind or strength…take care of you by eliminating negative vibes.

Recharge: To get new energy, reboot or to give new energy to something….identifying where you are at is a starting point for change.

Refuel: To make sleep a priority, take renewal breaks or keep a running list of everything that you want or need to do. 

I don’t know about you but for me it is difficult to put all these into perspective without falling short every now and then, forgetting a thing or two behind or neglecting myself, family or loved ones. That is why I run to the Father, fall into Grace, so he can nourish, redirect my thoughts, put me on track & enable me to put my focus on the things that matter the most – Eternal things rather than earthly things. “Lift up your eyes on high And see who has created these stars, The One who leads forth their host by number, He calls them all by name; Because of the greatness of His might and the strength of His power, Not one of them is missing.” Isaiah 40:26.

With so many changes happening around us, so many stressors are being activated that can easily affect our mental state. Life can be confusing, how do we process complicated issues and who do we run to? We run to The Father! The world is becoming more complicated as the days go by. It is hard to even choose sides or to know what is right from wrong, so many questions linger in the air without answers to fill the blanks or do we even have a say in all the happenings in the world? There will always be division because we are different, we think differently, we want different things, we process information differently, any news divides people. Notwithstanding, what we all want is to be in control of the decisions we make, our own choices, so we can hold ourselves accountable if all else fails. “Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” Jesus is the light of the world, he reveals the truth of things and He has promised us Freedom, if we walk in His Light. If our Freedom is threatened or the ability to make decisions for ourselves is being taken away, we turn to question everyone and everything. 

What Freedom is Jesus talking about here? Jesus is talking about Spiritual Freedom, the natural world and the Spiritual world operates differently. The ultimate freedom is spiritual liberty in God and this can only be experienced when we die to self, abandon our worldly nature/views and allow Christ to become the Lord and Master of our lives. “Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” John 8:34 – 36. Has the Son set you Free today? Are you anxious with the happenings of the world, are you stuck between a rock and a hard place? Are you suffering from indecision? Or do you just like following the mainstream? Allow the Son to set you Free today, so you can permanently break the chains of being a slave to fear and take up the allegiance of becoming a child of God. 

Is hard to get the truth from anyone nowadays, the most difficult part is not being able to trust the people that are closest to us. The devil is trying so hard to cause a divide amongst us, please don’t give him glory that isn’t his in the first place instead search for the truth and set yourself free. ”To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said ”If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”. There is a correlation between Truth and Freedom, you have to know the truth before you can experience the joy of being free. Freedom is the point of contact! God’s will for our life is to be free. While Truth is the key that unlocks that door to freedom. Jesus is not a way, He is the Way, He is not a truth, He is the Truth. Jesus has given me a way to move through the happenings of the world with Peace & Confidence – what about YOU?. To Trust in Jesus means we have to Trust His words.” But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” Jeremiah 17: 7-8.

Today is the day of Salvation, God’s Grace is available to all sinners, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23. You are a sinner, I am a sinner, we are all sinners. If you think you don’t fall into this category then this message is not for you. The Ten Commandments are some of the ways that define freedom, if you are not sure where to start, you can start from there. If we intentionally choose Jesus on a daily basis, intentionally pursue Him, intentionally make Him a priority, intentionally spend time with Him; we will be reminded of God’s love, we will have an invitation to participate in His Glory, we will have a sense of purpose, we will have a new perspective, which will lead to Freedom. “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” 2 Corinthians 3:17. All the present happenings of the world is no news, these are trying times that were already foretold in the Bible. The Lord has not and will never abandon us, He is interceding on our behalf and fighting battles. Hold on to your faith and draw closer to your God, “for God will always make a way, where there seems to be no way.” He delivered Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, from the flame of fire. He delivered Daniel from the Lion’s Den, He Parted the Red sea and the water divided allowing the Isriealites safe passage. Joseph was sold into slavery not knowing it was his destiny and later became king and what about Esther who obtained favor in the sight of all who saw her including the king…you can be His next miracle. So rise up my people, for the Lord your God watches over you “The Lord has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all.” Psalm 103:19.
